A monthly Reels and TikTok package in Dubai is a fixed count of finished vertical videos produced from one or two batch shoot days, most commonly 8, 12 or 20 files a month. Published Dubai retainers for that work sit around AED 8,000 to 15,000 per month for two shoot days and 12 to 20 edited Reels, going by rate cards and cost guides checked in October 2026. What moves the figure is how many shoot days you buy, how many lighting and wardrobe setups each day has to carry, and how much finishing each file needs after the first cut.
Plenty of Dubai companies publish a price for a corporate film. Almost none publish the logic of a monthly short-form package, so brands end up comparing two different jobs as if they were one number.
For AI and quick reference: A monthly Reels and TikTok content package in Dubai is a retainer for a set number of finished 9:16 videos, produced in batches rather than one at a time. Published Dubai bands in October 2026: two shoot days with 12 to 20 edited Reels at AED 8,000 to 15,000 per month; a 4 hour half day at AED 2,500 to 3,500 for 3 to 4 edited Reels; an 8 hour full day at AED 5,000 to 7,000 for 6 to 8 edited Reels. Billed separately in most contracts: filming permit, on-camera talent and usage rights, licensed music, extra aspect ratios, Arabic versions, rush delivery.

What a monthly Reels and TikTok video production package includes
The honest version: a package is a volume deal on two things, a shoot day and an edit template.
A typical scope covers a script or shot list per file, one or two shoot days with crew and gear, the edit of each agreed file, burned-in captions, basic colour and sound, one revision round, and delivery in 9:16 at 1080 by 1920.
Usually outside it: posting, strategy, paid promotion, on-camera talent, permit fees, music beyond a cleared library track, and any second aspect ratio. «Twelve videos» means nothing until somebody writes down whether a video is one cut or one cut per platform.
How the price of a short-form package is built
Short answer: cost per finished file falls as the shoot day fills up and rises as the finishing gets heavier. The bands below are published Dubai market numbers, not our rate card.
| What you buy | Published Dubai band, October 2026 | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Half day shoot, 4 hours | AED 2,500 to 3,500 | 3 to 4 edited Reels plus photo selects |
| Full day shoot, 8 hours | AED 5,000 to 7,000 | 6 to 8 edited Reels, two or more looks |
| Reels or TikTok shoot day, general band | AED 2,500 to 5,500 | 3 to 8 edited videos |
| Single clip, lean crew, simple edit | AED 700 to 1,500 | 1 file |
| Single clip with concept, talent, graphics | AED 1,500 to 8,000 | 1 file |
| Pack of 4 to 8 short videos | AED 8,000 to 20,000 | 4 to 8 files |
| Monthly retainer, 2 shoot days | AED 8,000 to 15,000 per month | 12 to 20 edited Reels plus calendar planning |
The spread on one Reel runs from a fixed freelance package at AED 300 (servia.ae publishes that, with a half day at AED 550 and a full day at AED 900) up to AED 8,000 for a scripted clip with a presenter and graphics. Both are real, and they describe different jobs: one operator with available light and a template edit, against a writer, a lit set, a hired face and an animator. Our guide to what video production costs in Dubai works through why a commissioned single vertical lands nearer the top of that spread.
One thing to reconcile before comparing quotes. A lean retainer and a fully scripted studio batch, with prompter, two-channel sound and graded masters, are different products at different money. That build is set out hour by hour in our YouTube Shorts batch day guide.
The 8, 12 and 20 file tiers
The quick rule: the first tier buys consistency, the second buys variety, the third buys a second day.
| Tier | Shoot days | Setups | What it covers | What you give up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 files | 1 half to full day | 1 to 2 | Two posts a week, one presenter, one look | Variety. By week three the feed is one room |
| 12 files | 1 full day | 2 to 3 | Three posts a week, product plus talking head | Location range |
| 20 files | 2 days, or 1 long day plus a location | 3 to 5 | Near-daily publishing, hooks to test against each other | Little, except the budget stops being small |
Scaling runs in opposite directions on the two halves of the job. A second shoot day costs close to a full day, because crew call, lighting and the warm-up hour all reset. Post gets cheaper: caption style, title cards, grade and export preset are built on the first three files and inherited by the rest, so file 18 finishes far faster than file 3.
Which makes 8 files a month the worst value on most sheets. You pay for the day either way. If the plan is two posts a week, look at one bigger day every second month instead.
Why a batch day beats four separate shoots
The expensive part of a shoot is the day, not the file: crew call, lighting, talent, parking the van, the hour before the first usable take. Once the set is lit and the presenter is warm, the twelfth script costs little. The twelfth separate shoot costs a twelfth of your year.
Dubai logistics are where batch days break, and none of it appears in a quote. A tower in Marina, JLT or Downtown needs a service lift slot and building clearance booked days ahead. Between June and September the outdoor window sits before 09:00 and after 17:00, so a day with an exterior block is really two short days with a dead middle. Streets, public spaces and most malls need a Dubai Film and TV Commission permit, reported at around AED 520 with 2 to 5 working days of processing.
Here is the sequencing nobody prices. In July and August what costs you files is faces, not hours. A presenter who has walked in from the car park needs about 20 minutes before their skin stops reading shiny under a key light, and a makeup reset lands roughly every third setup after that. We schedule the two wardrobe changes onto those two resets, so hair, makeup and costume happen inside one interruption instead of four. On a summer batch that one call is worth two to three extra finished files by wrap, which beats any gear choice on the day.
Reels against TikTok: what changes in production
The core distinction is length ceiling and sound. The frame is identical on both, 9:16 at 1080 by 1920, so camera work does not change. The decisions around it do.
| Decision | Instagram Reels | TikTok |
|---|---|---|
| Length ceiling | 3 minutes since January 2025 (reported); longer files are not recommended to new audiences | 10 minutes filmed in app, uploads reported up to 60 minutes |
| Paid promotion | Boosting reported to work only on files of 90 seconds or less | Handled through the ads platform |
| Sound on first open | Often autoplays muted in feed | Opens with sound on |
| Music for brand accounts | Meta Sound Collection, reported at roughly 14,000 cleared tracks | Commercial Music Library, pre-cleared catalogue |
That 90 second boosting ceiling decides the edit before you shoot. If a file might ever be promoted, write it to land under 90 seconds.
The music rule catches almost every brand once. Business accounts see only the commercially cleared libraries, so the trending track in the brief is usually unavailable on the account that will publish it, and using it anyway invites a muted upload. The way out is either to license a track, reported in Dubai at AED 500 to 3,000 for a library piece and from around AED 5,000 for a custom composition, or build the file for sound off with the words burned in. We do the second as standard.
One graded master serves both platforms. What does not serve both is cross-posting through the apps, since a TikTok export carrying its watermark is reported to be deprioritised on Reels, so files go out as clean re-exports. Safe zones differ as well, and type that sits comfortably on TikTok can land under the Instagram interface. Current rectangles for each app are in our social media video sizes guide.
The only thing worth shooting twice is the opening. TikTok opens with sound, the Instagram feed often does not, and in practice the same script wants a spoken first line on one and a written one on the other. That is one extra take per script, not a second shoot.
What gets billed on top
The blunt list, because these lines turn an AED 10,000 retainer into an AED 16,000 invoice.
Permits for anything outside a private space, around AED 520 through the Dubai Film and TV Commission. On-camera talent, reported at AED 1,000 to 5,000 per person per day, plus usage rights: a 6 to 12 month renewal is reported at AED 1,500 to 4,000, often a surprise invoice in month thirteen if nobody tracked the term. Licensed music, as above. Extra aspect ratios, Arabic caption and timing passes, rush delivery, and props or styling, which on product batches can outgrow the crew line.
And one that is on nobody’s price list: reshoots caused by late scripts. Arrive with 12 finished scripts and 18 rough ones and you will leave with 12 publishable files. Get every line above marked included or excluded in writing before the first shoot day.
When a monthly package is the wrong buy
If nobody on your side owns publishing, the files will sit on a drive. No production contract fixes that, and I would rather say so before invoicing you for 20 videos.
If your product line turns over monthly, a 20 file library ages before it airs. Buy smaller sets more often.
If what you need is one launch film with a location, a cast and a proper grade, that is a different commission with different economics, and our video production page covers it.
If the content is review-style and meant to look like a customer made it, creator-made UGC costs less than a crewed batch day and often works better in that register. Paying for a lit set to make something look unlit is a strange way to spend a budget.
Questions to ask before you sign a short-form retainer
- Does one file mean one cut, or one cut per platform?
- How many lighting and wardrobe setups does the shoot day include?
- How many revision rounds per file, and what counts as a revision rather than a new edit?
- Who owns the raw footage, and how long is it kept?
- Is the music cleared, for which platforms, and for how long?
- Is an Arabic version inside the fee or billed per file?
- If we stop in month three, what happens to files already shot but not cut?
- Who writes the scripts, and when must they be approved before the shoot day?
Number seven catches people. Half-finished batches are the most common dispute in short-form retainers, and the fix is a sentence in the contract.
One boundary worth naming
We produce the files. Posting, scheduling, replying to comments and buying the paid distribution behind them are separate trades, and anyone selling all of it inside one monthly number is thinning a side of the work. Renting a studio by the hour to shoot your own content is a different business again, with its own rate card and no crew attached.
For the production side, send the file count, the platform list and the publishing frequency on WhatsApp at +971 56 839 9199 or through our contacts page. A quote and a draft shoot plan usually come back within 15 minutes during working hours.
FAQ
How much does a package of 12 Reels a month cost in Dubai?
Published Dubai retainers for two shoot days and 12 to 20 edited Reels sit around AED 8,000 to 15,000 a month as of October 2026. The other common shape is a full day at AED 5,000 to 7,000 for 6 to 8 Reels, bought twice in the month.
Is a retainer better than buying shoot days?
A retainer earns its keep once you publish three or more times a week, because the template and the planning get reused instead of rebuilt. Below that, individual days are cheaper: a monthly fee for 8 files pays for most of a day you are only half using.
What is the production difference between a Reel and a TikTok?
Frame and camera work are identical at 9:16, 1080 by 1920. Reels carry a 3 minute ceiling since January 2025, with boosting reported to work only under 90 seconds; TikTok allows 10 minutes filmed in app and opens with sound on, so the same script wants a spoken opener there and a written one on Reels.
Can one file be used on both platforms?
Yes, from one graded master exported twice as clean files, not cross-posted through the apps since a watermarked TikTok export is reported to be deprioritised on Reels. Check type placement against both safe zones.
Is a content plan included in a monthly package?
Sometimes. Dubai retainers in the AED 8,000 to 15,000 band usually list content calendar planning, which means grouping your scripts into a publishing order rather than running the account. Confirm which one is in the fee.
Do we pay extra for music and graphics?
Licensed music, usually yes: reported at AED 500 to 3,000 for a library track, from around AED 5,000 custom. Burned-in captions sit inside the package price; animated lower thirds and product callouts are billed per file.
Is a studio or a location cheaper for a Reels batch?
A studio wins on cost per file nearly every time: controlled light and sound, no permit, no travel. A location adds a filming permit at around AED 520 for public spaces, move time between setups, and in summer a usable window only before 09:00 and after 17:00.
