Four things worth checking before you hand over a collection:

• Ask for one raw, unretouched frame. Retouching can rescue a weak capture once; it cannot do it across two hundred SKUs.
• Look specifically at how they handle reflections on polished metal and inside faceted stones. That is where most jewellery shoots fall apart.
• Agree how pieces are received, stored and handed back, and who signs for them at each step.
• Fix the retouching rounds and the delivery spec per channel before the shoot, not after the invoice.
